The Senior Manager - Program works with the Executive Director to create the strategic vision of the organizations programmatic goals and outcomes.
The position is also responsible for the effective management and supervision of all program related activities across all the geographical locations.
The Senior Manager Program serves as liaison between all programs related initiatives and the Executive Director.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop programmatic strategic plan for the organization
Procure externally or create and develop program content curriculum and all program related training activities
Manage program activities staff and volunteers
Be qualified to conduct regular program monitoring and assessment of all program processes
Forging partnership and development with external stakeholders
Program Management and Delivery
Lead, strategize and manage the entire program vertical and its activities.
Should be able to suggest, design, develop program content curriculum for sustainability and program growth
Remain up-to-date on all sector development and government policies in a timely and organized manner
Analyze trends in the program, identify issues and recommend solutions to the Executive Director
Forge partnership and with external institutions and stakeholders
Develop high quality concept notes and project reports to be shared with the senior management
Manage complex, multifaceted projects resulting in measurable successes and program growth
Management Responsibilities:
Lead, motivate and support the program team in creating work plans, meeting deadlines and conducting regular reviews/check-ins for the vertical
Provide technical inputs to project team on improvement of academic and co-curricular activities in line with approved program guidelines
Ensure high quality standards for all documents going out of the vertical
Lead the standardization of processes, curriculum, OD support as need be
To be a part of the senior management team working alongside with the senior management helping with the overall strategy and growth.
Reporting to senior management, the board on program statistics and other external stakeholders as need be
Build effective relationship with cross thematic teams/ cross departments and Regional Offices
Minimum 10+ years experience in management with demonstrated expertise in program management, implementation, strategic thinking and team management;
Well familiar with project proposal formulation/programme study Participatory Ruler Appraisal /Critical Program Analysis Experience in developing content material
Experience of working at community level
Strong communication skills, content and verbal
Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to work with people from varied backgrounds, at all levels.
Sensitive to issues of gender equality
