Front Office Associate, 1 - 2 years exp, Trivandrum

Be Punctual and arrive at work on time in the uniform provided, ensuring a neat and tidy appearance, according to the associate handbook.

To have a complete knowledge on the hotel product, including room types, rates, relative features and facilities, food and beverage outlets, spa, health club and be able to answer to all such guest related queries.

Carrying out errands that might be assigned from time to time.

Ensuring compliance to hotel operating standards.

Paging guests within the hotel.

Stocking and providing umbrellas, torch and other such supplies which guest might need from time to time.

Handling postage and c-form requirements.

Upkeep and maintainence of wheel chair, oxygen cylinder and first aid, which are under the purview of bell desk.

Rooming of the guest.

Ensuring that baggage control measures are taken to safe guard skipper situation.

General upkeep of the lobby and adjoining areas.

Promote services of the hotel among guests.

Strive to anticipate guests needs and resolve guest problems.

Ensure completion of all tasks for the shift and handover to the next shift without missing out on any guest related requests. To ensure that all the Logbooks, handovers and checklists are well maintained.

To develop a close and harmonious working relationship with all other associates in various departments of the hotel.

Attend training sessions and meetings as required.

To anticipate guest needs and handle guest inquires in a helpful and attentive manner.

Have a complete knowledge of hotel policies and procedures as well as departmental SOPs and LSOPs.

Report health/safety and security hazards to the Assistant Manager on Duty.

Ensure that the department compiles with and exceeds standard operating procedures.

Maintain company sanitation standards in the department.

Maintain guest satisfaction and ensure repeat business through personalised, efficient service. Is responsible that all customers leave satisfied.

Ensure all the areas of Front Office are clean and tidy at all times.

Listen to customer requests, and shows empathy.

Suggest alternatives to meet customer needs in terms of product features and benefits.

Achieving Customers delight through friendly and proficient service at the Front Office Operation and ensure repeat business through personalized, efficient service.

Offer information and services where appropriate.

Monitor the daily arrivals while ensuring that all requests are carried out wherever possible and all realistic expectations are met and ensure all reservations are honored.

Complete all shift duties as outlined on shift checklist; prior to the end of shift.

Complete all check-ins/outs in an efficient and timely manner.

Ensure all stationery levels and equipment is well maintained, restock station as required.

Ensure float is maintained at a constant level as issued by accounts.

Carry out requests as directed by hotel management.

Issue safety deposit boxes to hotel guests ensuring access and release forms are completed per hotel procedures.

Receive, handle and relaying of messages, mail, voice mail and faxes in an efficient, timely manner as per hotel policy.
