Our client is looking to recruit either an entire internet team or an individual CEO with proven ability to build a team quickly. Ideally, the individual or the team will have had prior experience with internet ventures, either by way of their own venture or by being a key team member in a successful internet company. Our client is also willing to encourage potential internet entrepreneurs who do not have internet experience but have had a successful technology career and have made a serious attempt to start-up an internet venture. This is a first of a kind opportunity in the country for the best internet talent to kick start and build a multi-million dollar internet business, with the full financial backing and mentorship of a fund.
For candidates applying for the role as CEO
1. Proven business skills in internet / technology space, ideally having led a business unit or an internet venture for a period of at least 2 years
2. A degree in Computer science from a reputable institution or any degree from the IITs
3. Clear understanding of the technology as well as business aspects of e-commerce
4. Strong ability to conceptualize beyond the obvious, lateral thinking, ability to assess and assume risks, entrepreneurial drive and passion
5. Age not exceeding 35 years
For team applicants
1. Team size not more than 4 people
2. The team should have worked together in an earlier venture or should have come together for a venture conceived prior to this appointment.
3. The roles of each of the team members should be clearly defined
4. There should be a clear consensus and natural recognition of one member of the team as the CEO. This person will meet all the requirements listed above for the CEO
5. At least one member of the team should be able to demonstrate technology leadership.
6. Each of the other team members should be able to demonstrate relevant qualifications and skill sets for the roles intended for them.
7. The entire team should share a passion and hunger to build and commitment to succeed.
8. Each member of the team will be interviewed separately, following the CEO's interview.
