1. Assists in setting up laboratory equipment for science class.
2. Assists Science Teacher in testing out new laboratory experiments prior to classroom.
3. Assists in preparation of upcoming laboratory periods.
4. Helps the teacher in implementing the same.
5. Assists students in usage of laboratory equipment.
6. Maintains inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies.
7. Informs Science Teacher regarding the new supplies and equipment needed.
8. Keeps laboratory equipment clean and in good working order.
9. Collects and distributes necessary materials.
10. Is responsible for safety in the laboratory.
11. Maintains a safe chemical storage/handling/disposal system in
accordance with current regulations
12. Liaise with science teacher regarding their requirement for Practical work
and maintain an efficient system for use and allocation of materials
and equipment.
13. Responsible for maintaining the records such as Purchase, Safe arrival,
Breakage and Issue,
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND ATTRIBUTES: Good knowledge of science field, especially chemistry; ability to establish good rapport with teachers and students; clerical aptitude; ability to maintain discipline; tact; courtesy; good judgment; physical condition.
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from a recognized college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in the field of science.
One -Two years of experience in school desirable.
