Pay Scale:
Rs. 37,400-67,000 plus Rs. 9000 (Academic Grade Pay) (Total emoluments excluding T.A. HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 83520 /-p.m. approximately)
Age:
Not exceeding 45 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 48 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualificaiton (s):
A. EDUCATIONAL
Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology and Master of Engineering or Master of Technology in Civil Engineering with first Class or equivalent either in Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology and Master of Engineering or Master of Technology and Ph.D or equivalent in Engineering from a recognised University or Institution.
B. EXPERIENCE
Five years experience in Teaching or Research or Industry out of which at least two years Post Ph. D experience is desirable.
Note-1 Equivalence for Ph. D is based on publication of five International Journal papers, each Journal having a cumulative impact index of not less than 2.0, with incumbent as the main author and all 5 publications being in the authors area of specialisation.
Note-2 Ph. D. shall be from a recognized University.
Note-3 Experience at Diploma Institutions is also considered equivalent to experience in degree level Institutions at appropriate level and as applicable. However, qualifications as above shall be mandatory.
Note-4 If a Class or Division is not awarded, minimum of sixty percent marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent to first class / division. If a Grade Point System is adopted the Cumulative Grade Point Average will be converted into equivalent marks as below.

Note-5 For an Assistant Professor, experience at the level of Assistant Professor will be considered equivalent to experience at the level of Associate Professor provided the incumbent Assistant Professor has acquired Ph. D degree in the relevant discipline.
Note-6 Quaifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reason to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified
Desirable Qualificaiton (s):
Post Ph. D publications and guiding Ph. D students is highly desirable.
Duty(ies):
i) Teaching
ii) Instructions in theory Labs
iii) Students Assessment Equivation
iv) Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities
v) Assisting in departmental administration.
vi) Assisting in consultancy and R D services, developing resource material and workshop/studio/lab development
Probation:Two years
