Key Responsibilities
To have detailed information about the Hotel, city as well as the competitionTo have detailed information regarding arrivals and room requirementsTo have up to date information on daily room occupancyTo check on VIP reservations, complete their pre-registration formalities and extend to them the regular courtesiesTo allocate rooms to all arriving guestsTo maintain up-to date information on room rates, current promotions, offers and packagesTo maintain all guest folios in the manner instructed and type out necessary guest details into the systemTo co-ordinate with housekeeping for clearing of roomsTo prepare, understand and communicate all relevant daily, weekly and monthly reports and statisticsTo maintain and settle the guest ledger rendering accountability for the days transactionsTo encash foreign exchange as per regulationsTo maintain guest lockers for safe custodyTo handle all incoming telephone calls as per standards instructedTo maintain a physical count of all room keys in each shiftTo ensure that all check-ins and check-outs are handled smoothly without unnecessary delay or discomfort to any guestTo ensure that proper records are maintained for all telephone calls from the roomsTo ensure that all transactions are supported with vouchersTo ensure accurate cash handoverTo give proper and complete handover to the next shiftTo handle all guests without bias or prejudiceTo follow the house rules and policies laid down by the managementTo adhere to strict grooming and hygiene standardsTo consciously and continuously strive to better his/ her skills and increase his/ her knowledge
Education:
Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management
Knowledge Skills:
Working Knowledge of Front Office SoftwareExcellent Computer SkillsMust have excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills and have a strong desire to exceed customer expectationsA Flair for dealing with peopleAdditional Language Knowledge will be an added advantageComputer Skills
Work Experience:
Minimum of 1 years of Experience in the similar positionWorking knowledge of CRS, CFS and other Front office related packages
