DIR PR, 14 - 18 years exp, Gurgaon

Microsoft is hiring a communications manager for the Microsoft India Communications Team to create thought leadership for Microsoft among media, influencers and Government stakeholders. Responsibilities will include creating story ideas around Microsofts technologies especially those around Cloud, technology mega trends, and industry segments such as public sector. The role will also include telling Microsofts citizenship and real impact stories in the areas of education, entrepreneurship, SMBs and technology for citizens.

Responsibilities of This Position Include:


Create and drive PR programs to position Microsoft technologies as the leading technologies that enterprises and governments use to help their customers/citizens become successful.


Support MSFT India National Plan objectives and priorities especially education, cyber security and digital economy and governance.


Support Citizenship programs and tell the corporate citizenship stories via media, digital and social platforms


Development, implementation and coordination of Microsofts customer program, including pipeline management, media relations, measurement and more.


Development, implementation and coordination of Microsofts partner PR program


Development or editing of PR materials, such as messaging, press releases, profiles, Q&A documents and digital materials around customer wins.


Development, implementation and coordination of the analyst relations program


Development, implementation and coordination of the developer PR program


Aligning with key product, segment and evidence leads across the company, to ensure customer stories are reflected in all relevant PR activities especially in the public sector


Driving SMB thought leadership for Microsoft in India


Driving entrepreneurship messaging and associating Microsoft closely with start-ups and developers


Creating briefing documents for spokespersons to tell Microsoft stories worldwide in support of the program.


Measuring success of the program in terms of coverage, including share-of-voice against competitors PR programs.



Qualifications:

The right candidate will have a minimum of 14 years in public relations or marketing roles in a related corporate or agency environment, with a blend of communications, editorial, marketing, project management and cross-group collaboration skills, coupled with IT knowledge and tenacity for execution and delivery. Experience in citizenship/citizenship communications is a plus. Ability to understand/discuss a broad-range of technology and business issues, including cloud computing, big data, social media strategies, consumerization of IT and other business trends. Understanding of Government audiences and industry bodies is important. Good command over English language - reading and writing is necessary.


Educational qualification should include a graduate degree and a relevant post graduate diploma/degree.
