Job Description:
(a) Validation of a Fiscal Metering Systems
The Metering Engineer shall be responsible for carrying out Metering System Validations at the clients end as per the procedures.
This involves the following activities
(i) Calibration of the Transmitters viz. Differential Pressure, Pressure, Temperature etc.
(ii) Inspection and health checks on the Primary Elements viz. Orifice, Turbine, Ultrasonic and Coriolis Meters.
(iii) Carrying out Validation of the Gas Chromatographs.
(iv) Carrying out Flow Computer Computation Checks
The selected Metering Engineer shall be essentially having knowledge on the Calibration of the instruments viz. Differential Pressure Transmitter, Pressure Transmitter, Temperature Transmitter. He should also be conversant with the Gas Chromatograph and Flow Computers (viz. Daniel S600 or OMNI).
The candidate shall be adequately trained to carry out the above activities and the above activities shall be carried out by a team of two personnel.
(b) Storage Tank Calibration
The Metering Engineer shall be responsible for carrying out the Storage Tank Calibrations (Vertical Cylindrical, Horizontal and Spheres) at the clients end as per the procedures.
It is not essential for the candidate at this juncture to have knowledge on these calibrations. Adequate training shall be imparted to carry out these calibrations.
This activity is also carried out by a team of two personnel.
