Area of Specialization: Process Metallurgy, Foundry Technology, Thermodynamics of Materials, Modelling and Simulation of Metallurgical Processes, Transport Phenomena, Mechanical Metallurgy, Physical Metallurgy, Materials Science.
PB-3 with Grade Pay of Rs. 8000/-
Selected candidates who are placed in PB3 with AGP of Rs.6000 shall move after one year to Assistant Professor (on contract) with AGP of Rs.7000 and the candidates in PB3 with AGP of Rs.7000 (on contract) shall move to Assistant Professor with AGP of Rs. 8000 after two years, subject to fulfillment of eligibility, qualifications, experience and requirements for the posts as governed by the guidelines issued by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Assistant Professors (on contract) need not appear before the Selection Committee again to be placed in the regular scale with AGP of Rs 8000. Selected candidates on contract must fulfill all requirements for being placed in the regular post of Assistant Professor with AGP of Rs 8000 within five years since the date of joining, failing which the contract shall be terminated, Fixation of pay will be as per guidelines of MHRD, Government of India.
Essential Qualification: Ph.D. degree with First class or equivalent at the Bachelor’s o Master’s level in appropriate discipline (60% or CGPA of 6.5 as applicable, where class is not awarded)
Relevant Experience: 03 years after Ph.D. or 06 years total (not counting Ph.D., enrolment period) after obtaining M.Tech. degree.
Other essential requirements: 02 papers in SCI / equivalent Journals outside Ph.D work. - One ongoing sponsored project for candidates from academia. - Two experiments or computational projects added to teaching laboratories where appropriate.
Additional Desirable requirements: One PhD supervision ongoing; 01 Patient; Experience in Industry or R & D lab. of repute; M.Tech., M. Sc., or B.Tech project supervision on live Industrial problems.
