Job DescriptionAbout HP Shopping:

Hewlett Packard is the market leader for PCs and printers worldwide. Within the Printing and Personal Systems division (PPS), HP Shopping is HPs direct face to its customers.

The Ideal Candidate is someone who constantly raises the bar for her/himself and the team, thrives under pressure, can dive deep into the data and be able to derive actionable insights, can work with a diverse stakeholder group and geographically diverse team. She/he will support both the daily business analytics needs of the regions, as well as lead analytics capability / solution development that can scale across regions. Solution development areas in focus are web analytics & optimization, Customer and Marketing Analytics and predictive modeling/optimization. Last but not least, she/he is passionate about developing analytics talent.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for developing the reporting & analytics roadmap for all eCommerce motion for HP

  • Responsible for establishing a framework/mechanism for integrating analytics into core business processes so as to enable data-driven decision making

  • Be an active contributor to store planning, category management & web merchandizing decisions, providing data-driven and actionable recommendations to drive step function improvements to revenue and margins

  • Partner closely with various business partners in marketing, category management, web merchandizing & operations functions to identify, prioritize and deliver a steady stream of reporting & business analytics that supports store objectives

  • As the subject matter expert, provide thought leadership to the organization and help business stakeholders understand and use web metrics/ insights to improve user experience and engagement (quantifiable) across the shopper journey

  • Enhance current testing program in partnership with the Site/ Product Merchandizing team to enable continuous optimization of site experience and web metrics

  • Build governance & communication rigor around the implementation and communication of analytics projects

  • Prioritize, delegate/ conduct ad hoc analyses to answer specific questions from business stakeholders.


Desired ProfileQualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in Engineering/ Computer Science/ Mathematics/ Business or combination of education and experience.

  • 6-8 years work experience, 3-4 years in eCommerce / Digital Analytics

  • Analytical mind-set with the ability to present clear and actionable results

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams

  • Strong understanding of online metrics / ecommerce business model

  • Comfortable using Web analytics tools like Adobe/ Omniture (preferred), Google Analytics, Web Trends

  • Strong understanding and experience with online testing/ experimentation and associated technologies

  • Proficient with SQL to query clickstream databases

  • Ability to work in cross functional teams while leading and prioritizing multiple projects

  • Strong people and project management skills, ability to structure work and lead analyst(s) on projects.
