| Job Description | Department Description: Marketing in India provides key leadership to the country business by leading an extensive and highly measurable demand generation program to create a 3-5x funnel for sales. It covers all product areas of applications, industries, middleware, databases and systems and storage. Marketing organisation spearheads the lead generation in the India Subcontintent region. The region is about 250 million in license and hardware revenue, and over 500 million including services. It is targeting a billion dollar size in foreseeable future. The marketing team generates a pipeline of over 300 million in net new in addition to influencing another 500 million of existing pipeline. The team has a strategic and game changing impact on business. The team is a key differentiator from competition and success factor for Oracle. So while it is a small group in terms of numbers the impact of group and each member is large in influence on country and industry, it is highly leveraged by a set of dedicated workforce employed with strategic specialized suppliers. Brief Posting Description: Meets with Sales leaders to create strategic marketing plan in support of Sales pipeline and revenue objectives. Participant in regular pipeline and forecast review meetings. Develops and implements strategic marketing campaigns and programs in conjunction with Sales, APAC marketing, Channels, Product Marketing, Product Management, Oracle Direct (Telesales), and external influencers such as user groups and industry trade associations. Provides onsite execution support for marketing programs. Tracks lead flow to ensure the appropriate Sales channels are following up with event attendees and campaign responders in a timely manner. Creates, manages and achieves program budget, measures ROI through metrics analysis and reporting. Job Requirements: Proven track record executing multi-faceted event programs. Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to engage customers in dialogue about their business needs and IT solutions. Excellent written and verbal skills, and ability to work on far-flung virtual teams. Understands principles of Sales business/revenue/pipeline management. Moderate technical and strategic understanding of Technology, Applications, and Industry solutions being marketed.
